ABOUT PSYCHEDELIC SYMPHONY

The team behind Long Beach’s Happy Sundays Music Fest is taking the concept of “immersive experience” to new heights with Psychedelic Symphony, a visual, auditory and culinary experience for art lovers of all ages. Inspired by Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience and Jean-Michel Basquiat – King Pleasure, Psychedelic Symphony brings together the best of Long Beach with a performance featuring musicians from the Long Beach Symphony, arrangements by the brilliant Eyvind Kang and visuals by world-renowned Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show. To top it off, the performance will be held at Heritage Farm, Long Beach’s first Michelin Star restaurant. This exclusive experience of music, art and food will be held on February 10th, 2024.

“We are so excited to be working with an institution like the Long Beach Symphony and with bright, creative minds that are enriching our neighborhood,” says Happy Sundays co-founder Julia Kugel. “We want to bring lovers of music together for a new listening experience. Long Beach has become quite a foodie town, and we’re excited to champion the scene and the community. It’s part of our goal with everything we do – uplift and enchant.”

Working alongside acclaimed arranger and CalArts faculty Eyvind Kang, a Long Beach Symphony string quartet will perform an eclectic mix of multi-faceted renditions by the 1960’s French cult-favorite Serge Gainsbourg and Italian movie composer Ennio Morricone as well as beloved classics like “As Time Goes By” from Casablanca.

This performance is a treat for those accustomed to the giant halls typical to symphonic performances. Psychedelic Symphony taking place at the intimate, Amsterdam-inspired Heritage Farm will elevate the guests’ experience because the surrounding visuals will transport guests to feel as if the music is all around them.

Limited to 65 seats, this event is sure to dazzle anyone lucky and quick enough to jump on reservations early- Heritage is notorious for selling out tables months in advance.
